Our new temple in San Jose, California
will help preserve our culture and traditions and empower the Khmer community.

Our Vision:
Equip an empowered Khmer population with the tools and resources needed to thrive for generations to come.

We are very grateful to Mayor Mahan and the San Jose City Council for their unanimous approval of our planned temple at the corner of Ruby and Norwood Avenues in San Jose. This will be the community's first ‘proper’ temple, providing cultural pride, a rich learning environment and a space of religious worship that our community has been dreaming about since coming to the U.S. as refugees nearly 40 years ago.

The foundation will ensure professional governance of the new temple to ensure an enriching religious experience to the Khmer community and proper management to the city of San Jose.

A Khmer Buddhist Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to preserving the culture of the Khmer population through the arts, culture, education and Buddha’s teachings. The organization doesn't engage or participate in any political activities.

“With a little help, hard work and vision allow people to go a long way.”
